Cobham Wireless, as worldwide leader in the design and supply of DAS solutions for both cellular and public safety systems, is continually facing competitors trying to undermine Cobham’s market leading position.
Cobham Wireless holds a number of global patents in relation to its market leading idDAS platform and will defend them vigorously wherever necessary.
Cobham Wireless has formally written to Sunwave (also known as BTI) concerning our belief of their patent infringement of Cobham’s European patent – EP2789107B1, relating to Sunwave’s CrossFire DAS systems delivered in the UK.
Cobham has given Sunwave a short period to formally respond to Cobham’s letter, before Cobham considers the next step against them in the UK.
Cobham is represented and counselled by experienced law firms in the field and will continue defending its position. The idDAS system is an important business for Cobham that it continues to develop. Its use for Cobham’s customers and contracting parties is of utmost importance for Cobham and it will use all efforts to support the system’s success in the future and protect its position where necessary.Back to press release list
